1972: Akai VC-110S - Vidicon Portapack
Camera.
.
This camera, the Akai
VC-110S, has an 8~54mm / f 1.8 zoom lens, a "through the lens" optical
viewfinder and a built in microphone. In the second photo, you will notice
that the rubber eye piece is missing. (Anyone got one for this model?)
The imager is a 2/3" vidicon tube. A start / stop button is built into
the sculpted handle. The handle is removable and not shown. This is the
mate to the VT-110 B/W 1/4" portapack VTR. If you look closely at the first
photo, you can see how OOPS, I mean UPS, modified the lens for me. Use
FedEx, people!
