PV-4500U: Monochrome, 1/2 inch tape, reel to
reel Portapack VTR. The matching vidicon camera with electronic viewfinder
is the GS-4500U or GS-4500U. This is JVC's answer to the Sony AV-3400 Video

PV-4800U & GC-4800U: Full color, 1/2 inch
tape, reel to reel Portapack VTR and 2 vidicon color camera with electronic

PV-4800U: Color EIAJ portapack VTR. This was
the first and only EIAJ model that did not require any external or optional
adapter packs for color operation. It was a fully self contained color
machine. Compared to others of the time, it is also very compact. Photo:

PV-4800U & GC-4800U: Demonstrated by a
pretty lady. The style of her clothing should make it obvious that it's
the 1970s! Photo: 1976 JVC catalog. |

FV-1500: Color, 1/2 inch video tape player.

KV-350: New Photo
& Info! 1977 vintage, B/W, 1/2 inch tape, reel to
reel, portable deck with basic editing functions. The information I have
been given is for the CCIR (European TV) version of this deck. Apparently,
EIAJ could record over 70 minutes of 50Hz video versus 60 minutes at the
U.S. 60Hz rate. Photo: Bruno Merlier. |

KV-360: B/W, 1/2 inch tape, reel to reel, portable
deck with slow motion and with basic editing functions. I believe that
my old JFD-700 was really one of these in disguise.
